Lesley Wood is an experienced psychotherapist and hypnotherapist and Touch for Health kinesiologist, having studied in America and South Africa and strives to stay up to date on all aspects of her work.

She has partnered with colleagues in developing Life Enhancement courses as well as running workshops in the corporate world, schools and at charity benefits.

Lesley Wood - psychotherapist and hypnotherapist - www.weight-masters.comThrough her work she has discovered how important self esteem / self identity is in ones interaction with all aspects of life, while negative (or low) self esteem sadly creates difficulties and pressures. By facilitating change on an emotional level first, with exercises like the ones in her book (The Weight Masters Workbook – transformation from the inside out), individuals' self esteem and self awareness grow thus enabling them to make better life choices around food and health. Her emphasis is on empowerment of the individual.

Lesley has created self-development tools for her clients to use at home, generating opportunity for positive change, which can be used on their own or in conjunction with traditional therapy sessions and hypnotherapy.

She has a great love of health and fitness and believes each person must be honoured as the individual they are, meaning every solution may be unique or that no two processes (for clients) may necessarily be the same.  ‘Mindful Eating’ and education are emphasised while giving the client life-developing tools to permanently change their eating habits.

Weight Management has become one of her passions as it impacts so greatly on people’s lives.

All the courses are run with highly experienced Dieticians and Physical Instructors. And her private sessions are assessed and co-ordinated with Doctors or others specialists when necessary.

As is evident to everyone, good nutrition is an important component of a balanced life, but we sometimes get lost as to what good nutrition is!  The basics are easy, eat lots of fruit and vegetables, choose mostly low fat, don’t eat junk food, but that’s not getting you anywhere is it?  This is because, although these are really important points, they are not the crux to healthy balanced eating.  Some important things to remember are firstly, eating enough (too little will slow down the metabolism), secondly, eating regularly (every 3-4 hours is best) and thirdly, having some form or ‘immediate’ energy food (starch, fruit, dairy) at each meal/snack.  When you get into a healthy eating ROUTINE you will find that your goals are so much easier to attain!

And remember that you are human – no one expects you to be perfect 100% of the time!
