Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, surgical, stainless steel needles are placed into specific points along meridians of the body.  Stimulation of the points triggers the body’s own self healing processes.  Once the body starts to self heal, cravings disappear and weight loss begins.  In combination with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine is also prescribed to assist in weight loss.

A recommended course usually involves treatment over two to three months with more periodic sessions for the first month and fewer thereafter.  Most of the weight-loss is experienced in the first month.
